Warning: This rambling is truly worthy of a confused Monday.
I’m pondering ‘What’s up with this leg of my ‘Journey’ with the Lord?!’
I’m studying Genesis in my Community Bible Study. We’re at the point where God is making His covenant with Abram and promising that Sarai will have a son. It has been 10+ years since God [...]

This morning the family woke up to rain with a promise of high winds and power outages by 10am. Interesting how the weather man could instill such dread in one’s heart. Knowing that I had better get moving and get the electricity-dependant chores done early, I set off right to work. I drove the kids [...]

Kurt Stratton posted this in his Daily Muse today. It touched me deeply so I thought that I’d pass it on to the rest of you…
“I am the springtime, when everything seems so fine.
Whether rain or sunshine, you will find me playing.
Days full of pretending.
When a dime is a lot to be spending.
A time when [...]

I had to clean up the house a bit this morning… it’s not my MOST favorite thing to do… but I enjoy how the house feels once the job is done. However, I do have a certain aversion when it comes to toilets and showers. I’d much prefer a CSI Crime Scene Cleanup Crew for those particular areas.
So [...]

In case you are ever in need of another analogy for sin in our life… try this one… or maybe not
Okay, so I was on a quick walk this morning… along my normal route… praying and thanking God for who He is and what He is doing in my life… and I kept [...]

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven. Ecc 3.1
I love the changing of the seasons… I especially love fall… even if I do need to get accustomed to the cold air. The scents from wood fires, the stunning tapestry of color that covers the hills, and the fresh north [...]

Yesterday was another “date which will live in infamy” for this country, as both towers of the World Trade Center, the State Department Building and The Pentagon were all bombed by terrorists. Four [...]

I gotta say this is somewhat a continuation of yesterday’s Blog Entry – How are love, faith and panties related?
I wear down easily living in this broken, disparate world. People are not always nice and fair. People are unreasonable at times. Putting on the armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-18) EVERYDAY is a must [...]
‘Warning’ to all of you who are in a funk… where are you pointing?

I’m still working my way through Crazy Love by Francis Chan. It is really a wonderful meaty book and I have been enjoying it. However, I had to put it down for a couple of weeks as I was vacationing, workationing, and moving kids to and fro…
… and I was also in a great funk [...]
